Description: Released in April, 2004 and following perhaps a bit too closely on the heels of the "Gatchaman Best Selection" collection, came this set of five "Super Best 1500" DVDs. All of the episodes on this new set could be found on the "Best Selection" discs, but these five discs were priced much more reasonably. Each of these no-frills discs retailed for ´1,500 (hence the "1500" in the line's title).
Picture quality was identical to the initial DVD releases and the Gatchaman Complete DVD Box. Cover art for these DVDs consisted of all previously-released promotional artwork. The episodes were presented without their "next episode" preview trailers, and they had only one chapter marker at the beginning of each program. There were no bonus items or additional mail-in premiums offered with this collection.
These were initially difficult to find, but more retailers started stocking them a few months into their release.
Unless something new and grand comes along, hopefully these will be the last of the reissues of Gatchaman on DVD for a while. Monaural
