Description: Slowly but surely, 1989 saw the release of a ten volume VHS best-of compilation set of Gatchaman episodes. As with previous releases, the prices for these tapes was rather steep. Each volume was ´8,200 retail. This time around, the episodes were finally presented complete and each included the preview trailer for the next episode at its conclusion. The cassettes were housed in clamshell cases with printed artwork inserts. The art consisted of a combination of frame grabs specific to the episodes on that particular volume and promotional artwork. As a bonus to people who purchased the first batch of five tapes, each volume contained an exclusive phone card with a Gatchaman image (which can be seen here as Cards #1 - #5). All together, thirty episodes were released on the tapes (three per tape) which while impressive, still left more than two thirds of the series as unreleased. Monaural
