You may have noticed the letter and number codes after the size entries on these pages. The explanations for them are here. Most Japanese books fall into a certain size category. I will list as many as I can find here along with their appropriate sizes in centimeters (and inches/feet).
A Series
A - 84.1 x 118.9cm (2.76 x 3.9 ft.)
A1 - 59.4 x 84.1cm (1.95 x 2.76 ft.)
A2 - 42 x 59.4cm (1.38 x 1.95 ft.)
A3 - 29.7 x 42cm (11.69 in. x 1.38 ft.)
A4 - 21 x 29.7cm (8.27 x 11.69 in.)
A4 Special - 21 x ??cm (8.27 x ??in.)*
A5 - 14.8 x 21cm (5.83 x 8.27 in.)
A6 - 10.5 x 14.8cm (4.13 x 5.83 in.)**
A7 - 7.4 x 10.5cm (2.91 x 4.13 in.)
A8 - 5.2 x 7.4cm (2.05 x 2.91 in.)
B Series
B - 10.3 x 145.6cm (3.38 x 4.78 ft.)
B1 - 72.8 x 10.3cm (2.39 x 3.38 ft.)
B2 - 51.5 x 72.8cm (1.69 x 2.39 ft.)
B3 - 36.4 x 51.5cm (1.19 x 1.69 ft.)

The standard manga size has no letter /number code, but it is: 11.5 x 17cm (4.53 x 6.69 in.)
*A4 Special size is consistent in width only.
**This is the standard novel size in Japan.
